    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Gefäßausgußpräparate des Kaninchenauges wurden rasterelektronenmikroskopisch untersucht. Gegenüber der herkömmlichen Betrachtung mit Lichtmikroskopen hat diese Methode folgende Vorzüge: 1. Sie verfügt über eine erheblich größere Schärfentiefe und besseren Kontrast bei allen Vergrößerungsstufen. Damit ermöglicht sie anschauliche Information und eine leichte Dokumentation der dreidimensionalen Gefäßstruktur. 2. Dank des großen Auflösungsvermögens erlaubt die rasterelektronenmikroskopische Betrachtung geeigneter Gefäßausgüsse Aussagen über Strukturen der Gefäßinnenfläche, die in dieser Weise bisher nicht darstellbar waren.
    Notes: Summary Vascular corrosion casts of the rabbit eye vessels were studied by scanning electron microscopy. Compared with light microscopy, this method provides greater depth of field and better contrast. Thus the pictures are more informative and documentation is easier. The high resolving power of scanning electron microscopy of suitable vascular casts allows the study of structures of the inner vessel wall. Such information could not be retrieved from these replicas until now.

    Notes: Abstract Visual evoked potentials were recorded in six normal subjects and in three patients with primary open-angle glaucoma, while intraocular pressure was artificially elevated in stepwise increases. The resulting perfusion-pressure amplitude curves in our controls showed a kink, which can be interpreted as a sign of vascular autoregulation. No kink was observed in the curves of our glaucoma patients, which we interpret as indicating a lack of vascular autoregulation in primary open-angle glaucoma.
