Notes: Abstract The catalytic activity, thermal stability and carbon deposition of various modified NiO/γ‐Al2O3 and unmodified NiO/γ‐Al2O3 catalysts were investigated with a flow reactor, XRD, TG and UVRRS analysis. The activity and selectivity of the NiO/γ‐Al2O3 catalyst showed little difference from those of the modified nickel‐based catalysts. However, modification with alkali metal oxide (Li, Na, K) and rare earth metal oxide (La, Ce, Y, Sm) can improve the thermal stability of the NiO/γ‐Al2O3 and enhance its ability to suppress carbon deposition during the partial oxidation of ethane (POE). The carbon deposition contains graphite‐like species that were detected by UVRRS. The nickel‐based catalysts modified by alkali metal oxide and rare earth metal oxide have excellent catalytic activities (C2H6 conversion of ~100%, CO selectivity of ~94%, 7 × 104 l/(kg h), 1123 K), good thermal stability and carbon‐deposition resistance.

Notes: The wear-resistance, corrosion resistance, hardness can be greatly increased by using lowtemperature QPQ complex salt-bath treatment. And it is a new strengthening method withoutdistortion in the treating process. The surface of 4Cr14Ni14W2Mo steel was treated using thismethod. The microstructure and depth of the treated surface for the steel were analyzed using SEM.The sliding wear resistance was tested on the M-2000 tester and the micro-hardness was tested using401MVA microscopy hardness tester. The corrosion resistance was tested in the 5%NaCl water byusing spraying method. The experimental results indicate that a certain depth of white layer anddiffusion layer of the steel can be obtained by using low temperature QPQ complex salt-bathtreatment. The nitriding compound layer with high hardness, superior wear resistance and stablemicrostructure, can also be obtained on the surface of the parts. The highest hardness in the surface isHV0.11012. The surface hardness is 2.8 times higher than that of inner part. The depth of white layer isfrom 10 to 12μm. The experimental results and applied results show that the low temperature QPQcomplex salt-bath treatment has many advantages, such as fast nitriding speed, uniform heating, shortprocess time, low treating temperature, small distortion, high production rate, low cost, stablenitriding quality no pollution and so on

Notes: Abstract The room temperature femtosecond relaxation dynamics of reflection spectra of YBa2Cu3O7-δ with different oxygen contents and PrBa2Cu3O7 epitaxial films have been studied. The relaxation times of ΔR(t) in YBa2Cu3O7-δ increase from less than 100 fs to more than 1 ps with increasing δ and with substitution of Pr for Y. The electron and lattice temperature profiles at these quasi-equilibrium state are calculated from the nonequilibrium energy-balance model. The process of electronphonon energy transfer was found to be dominated in our experiments. These results reveal that in 123 phase superconductors decrease of carrier concentration slows down the carrier-phonon coupling and the type of the electron-phonon interaction would be localized. The dependence of electron-phonon coupling to oxygen defects in YBa2Cu3O7-δ was found to be λ∼exp(−δ).
