Notes: The free motion of a nonrelativistic superparticle on the super Riemann surface (SRS) of genus h≥2 is investigated. Geodesics or classical paths are given explicitly on the super Poincaré upper half-plane SH, a universal covering space of the SRS, and the paths with some suitable initial conditions yield periodic orbits on the SRS. The periodic orbits are unstable and the system is chaotic. Quantum mechanics is solved on the universal covering space SH and the heat kernel is given on the SRS. This leads to a superanalog of the Selberg trace formula. The Selberg super zeta function is introduced whose zero points and poles determine the energy spectrum on the SRS.

Notes: A nonrelativistic superparticle moving freely on the super-Riemann surface of genus g≥2 is investigated. The classical motion is characterized by the super-Fuchsian group. The periodic orbits are unstable and the system is classically chaotic. Quantization is performed in the path integral method. The kernel function is explicitly given in the semiclassical approximation. The quantized energy spectrum is related to the length spectrum of the classical periodic orbits, which is a superanalog of Selberg's trace formula.

Notes: A topological field theory is used to study the cohomology of mapping space. The cohomology is identified with the Becchi–Rouet–Stora–Tyutin cohomology realizing the physical Hilbert space and the coboundary operator given by the calculations of tunneling between the perturbative vacua. The method is illustrated by a simple example.

Notes: A supersymmetric quantum mechanics on SO(3) is examined. It was found that instanton solutions and the normal coordinate expansions around them allow the explicit path integration. The Witten complex is obtained by calculating the matrix elements of the generalized exterior derivative.

Notes: The anomalies in exceptional-type supersymmetric nonlinear σ models are investigated. The cohomology rings of Kähler manifolds E6/Spin(10)×U(1), E7/SU(5)×SU(3)×U(1), and E8/SO(10)×SU(3)×U(1) and the Chern classes of the tangent bundles of these manifolds are calculated explicitly. It is shown that the E6/Spin(10)×U(1) model is anomaly-free but the E7/SU(5)×SU(3)×U(1) and E8/SO(10)×SU(3)×U(1) models are anomalous.

Notes: Abstract We calculate the Kähler potential of theE 8/SO(10)×SU(3)×U(1) homogeneous space. Some quasi Nambu-Goldstone fermions living in the corresponding supersymmetric non-linear σ model are identified with the usual three families of quarks and leptons, and one mirror family. We also show that the dynamical breakdown of supersymmetry does not occur in this model.

Notes: Abstract The geometry of the Teichmüller space of the super Riemann surfaces is examined. The Weil-Petersson Kähler form is calculated in terms of the super coordinate functions which provide local coordinates for the super Teichmüller space. It is shown that the Kähler form on the super Teichmüller space is closed.

Notes: Abstract The quantum statistics of three-dimensional vortex filament in superfluid 4 He is investigated by the use of path integral techniques. The free energy evaluated in the saddle point approximation decreases abruptly at a certain critical value of the applied superflow velocity. This critical behavior is in quantitative agreement with the experimental result of vortex nucleation by a moving ion. The dissipation effects are also discussed within the damped harmonic oscillator approximation.
