Notes: [Auszug] To gain insight into melanoma pathogenesis, we characterized an insertional mouse mutant, TG3, that is predisposed to develop multiple melanomas. Physical mapping identified multiple tandem insertions of the transgene into intron 3 of Grm1 (encoding metabotropic glutamate receptor 1) with ...

Notes: An ambient-cured organosilicone resin modified with epoxy resin was synthesized withlab-synthesized polysiloxane resin and biphenix-A epoxy resin(E-20) by copolymerization at180~190 °C for 2~3 hours. The effect of ratios between polysiloxane resin and E-20, reactiontemperatures and reaction time on heat resistance and miscibility etc were discussed in detail. Theexperiment results showed that the epoxy modified organosilicone resin exhibited the best solubilityperformance and adhesion strength when the ratio of the polysiloxane resin to E-20 was 3:7. TheFourier transform infrared spectra (FTIR) revealed that hydroxy on epoxy resin had reacted withethyoxyl on organic silicon molecular chain, but no ring-opening reaction happened on epoxy groupof E-20. The excellent high-temperature resistance painting, based on these epoxy modifiedorganosilicone resin was prepared with flake aluminum powder as temperature resistance filler, polyamide 650 as curer and WD-50 coupling agent as curing-promoter. It was shown that thetemperature resistance was superior to 600°C and the adhesion strength of the coating was up to 1grade. Scanning electron microscope(SEM) revealed the reaction happened on -Si-O-Si- and Al underhigh temperature improved the coatings to resist higher temperature. The mechanism of thehigh-temperature anticorrosion is attributed to “ring-opening reaction” and “cross-link solidificationreaction”

Notes: Some tags in the radio frequency identification (RFID) application based on the surfaceacoustic wave (SAW) technique often locate in the field of a transceiver simultaneously, leading todifficult identification. In this paper, the digital beamforming technique is applied to identifymultiple SAW ID-tags to address difficulties in identification. The direction of arrivals (DOAs) areused to denote the locations of the tags and the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm issuggested to find the optimal estimates of the DOAs. Once the DOAs are obtained, the arrayweights are then formed and the signals of tags are recovered to implement decoding. Theexperiment results show that a good identification of multiple SAW ID-tags is achieved

Notes: With suitable pretreatment, a compact and even nickel-phosphorus alloy coating wasobtained on W-Cu alloy by electroless deposition from solutions containing nickel sulphate as asource of nickel and sodium hypophosphite as the reducing agent and a source of phosphorus. TheNi-P coating was normally prepared from acidic baths at high temperature of the order of 90oC withthe pH of 4.8 and it was smooth and uniform and exhibited high crystal refinement and highmicrohardness and superior corrosion resistance. The microhardness, adhesion and corrosionresistance mechanism of Ni-P deposit were studied. The microhardness of the Ni-P alloy depositincreases greatly by tempering at various temperatures. The Ni-P deposit has a strong adhesive forcewith W-Cu alloy substrate checked by thermal shock test and scribe test. The anti-corrosion ability ofNi-P coating and its anti-corrosion mechanism were measured using immersion experiment andpotentiodynamic polarization techniques. The results showed that the corrosion resistance of Ni-Pcoating was higher than that of W-Cu alloy substrate in the 10vol.% sulfuric acid, monitoring sweatsolution and 3.5wt.% sodium chloride solution. The anti-corrosion mechanism of electroless Ni-Pcoating immersed in 3.5wt.% sodium chloride solution was studied using potentiodynamicpolarization techniques. The surface micromorphological morphology and structure of the Ni-Pcoating were investigated using Scanning Electronic Microscope (SEM) and X-ray Diffraction(XRD). The results indicated that the Ni-P alloy coating consisted of microcrystals and it wasamorphous in structure, and the electrochemical measurement showed passive film formed on Ni-Pcoating during immersion test in the 3.5wt.% sodium chloride solution

Notes: [Auszug] A DNA-binding immunoassay has been used to screen human genomic clones and show that p53 binds specifically to a region upstream of the transcription start site for the human ribosomal gene cluster (RGC)4. We have confirmed and extended this observation by DNase I footprinting and shown that ...

Notes: Abstract A simple example simulating a mixture of two normal populations results in some important observations, nonnormality and nonsymmetry of the mixture conditional pdf, nonlinearity of the conditional mean as a function of the conditioning data, heteroscedasticity of the conditional variance and its nonmonotonicity as a function of distance of the unknown to the conditioning data. A comparison of the mixture statistics with those predicted by traditional models ignoring the mixture reveals the inadequacy and inappropriateness of these traditional approaches. A mixture of two multivariate normal populations is illustrated through the analytical expressions of its conditional distribution and moments.

Notes: Abstract In this paper, with the help of the eigenvalue properties of orthogonal tensors in n-dimensional Euclidean space and the representations of the orthogonal tensors in 2-dimensional space, the canonical representations of orthogonal tensors in n-dimensional Euclidean space are easily gotten. The paper also gives all the constraint relationships among the principal invariants of arbitrarily given orthogonal tensor by use of Cayley-Hamilton theorem; these results make it possible to solve all the eigenvalues of any orthogonal tensor based on a quite reduced equation of m-th order, where m is the integer part of n/2. Finally, the formulae of the degree of freedom of orthogonal tensors are given.

Notes: Abstract In this paper, a total criterion on elastic and fatigue failure in complex stress, that is, octahedral stress strength theory on dynamic and static state on the basis of studying modern and classic strength theories. At the same time, an analysis of an independent and fairly comprehensive theoretical system is set up. It gives generalized failure factor by 36 materials and computative theory of the 11 states of complex stresses on a point, and derives the operator equation on generalized allowable strength and a computative method for a total equation can be applied to dynamic and static states. It is illustrated that the method has a good exactness through computation of eight examples of engineering. Therefore, the author suggests applying it to engineering widely.
