Notes: Summary Experiments show that the Hall resistivityρ xy of InSe bulk crystals is quantized into integer multiples ofh/e 2. Quantum Hall effect in InSe is explained as a result of plane defects in InSe crystals. The electrons in bulk InSe are localized at these defects at low temperatures forming regions with two-dimensional conductivity. Concentration of electrons in these regions isN 2D=2·1011 cm−2 and their mobility μ=2·104cm2/V·s.

Notes: Abstract We report a study of the temperature dependence, down to 30 mK, of the magnetoresistance of Cd-Sb alloy in the insulating phase obtained by annealing the quenched metallic superconducting ( T c ≈4.5 K) phase of the alloy. Even though the sample in this state is no longer superconducting, the observed negative magnetoresistance points to single-particle tunneling in the presence of a superconducting gap in the spectrum. At magnetic fields B〈T the ratio α(T,B)=R(T,B)/R(T,B=4 T)is found to be maximum at a temperature of about 0.1 K. This behavior indicates a change of the conductivity mechanism from single-particle tunneling to incoherent two-particle tunneling as the temperature decreases.

Notes: Abstract In an investigation of the resistivity anisotropy of YBa2Cu3O7−x single crystals with suboptimal oxygen content it is observed that the superconducting transition for the component ρc of the resistivity tensor is shifted to lower temperatures with respect to the transition for the component ρab. A similar shift is also observed for the transition in the temperature dependence of the dynamic magnetic susceptibility.

Notes: Abstract Temperature dependences of the resistivity tensor components ρab and ρc were measured for YBa2Cu3O7−x single crystals with different oxygen contents. The resistivity anisotropy ρc/ρab was found to grow exponentially with decreasing temperature. The results are compared with the predictions of different models describing transverse transport in the normal state of cuprate high-T c superconductors.

Notes: Conclusions In the author's opinion, the installation of drains by drilling holes from galleries should be considered the only valid and progressive method that makes it possible to install drainage from galleries working from bottom to top as the dam rises, irrespective of the procedure adopted for placing concrete in the dam.
