Contents The present paper is connected with the results ofH. Buchholz who investigated the two-dimensional skin effect in a trapezoid slot carrying an alternation current [1]. Using the equation for the stream of energy, we make the transition from a trapezoid cross-section to the limiting case of a rectangular cross-section and give the resulting formula describing the power flow into a rectangular slot. Subsequently, particular equations are evaluated for the impedance of the conductor that correspond fully to formulae that have been derived in other publications in a different manner. Finally, for both types of slots formulae for the impedance are given such as to find out at the first glance the gain of two-dimensional theory compared with the conventional way of consideration.

Übersicht Die vorliegende Arbeit schließt an die Ergebnisse vonH. Buchholz an, der die zweidimensionale Stromverdrängung in einer wechselstromdurchflossenen, trapezförmigen Nut [1] untersuchte. Anhand der Gleichung für den Energiestrom wird der Grenzübergang vollzogen vom trapezförmigen zum rechteckigen Querschnitt und die dabei resultierende Formel für den Leistungsfluß in eine Rechtecknut angegeben. Im weiteren werden daraus besondere Gleichungen für die Impedanz des Nutenleiters entwickelt, die im Fall der Rechtecknut vollauf übereinstimmen mit Formeln, die an anderer Stelle auf andere Weise hergeleitet wurden. Abschließend werden für beide Nuten Widerstandsformeln so angegeben, daß man auf einen Blick den Gewinn aus der zweidimensionalen Theorie gegenüber der Theorie der eindimensionalen Stromverdrängung erkennt.
