Notes: Abstract Angular correlations of the annihilation photons, Compton scattered by plastic scintillators and detected by means of NaI (T1) crystals, have been measured in order to test the possibility of deviations of the experimental results from the predictions of the quantum theory. In fact, Jauch and Bohm, starting with different motivations, both arrive at the possibility of a lower correlation ratio between the two orthogonal polarization states of the two photons than predicted by quantum theory. This in turn should give a lower azimuthal anisotropy in the angular correlations. Our experimental results compared with the theoretical predictions, after correction for finite geometry by means of a Montecarlo method, do not confirm quantum theory and exclude the hypotheses of Jauch and of Bohm. We are continuing the experiment in order to test wether the breakdown in the polarization correlation depends on the distance (spatial and/or temporal) between the two correlated scattering events, as suggested by Jauch.

Notes: Abstract We consider the superposition of macroscopically distinguishable states for a measuring process whose time evolution is described by the Schrödinger equation. We ask whether it is possible to observe interference effects due to the above mentioned superposition and how to observe them, taking into consideration an experiment performed by other authors. We find a necessary condition in order to be able to observe these effects. We also point out some very serious difficulties in observing them and analyse the connection between some of these difficulties and the Wigner-Araki-Yanase theory. We try to explain why the whole problem seems to us to be far from having a solution and we suggest some paths we think worthy of further investigation.

Notes: Abstract The conditions on the relative frequencies of coincidence between the measurements on two physical systems are deduced, in the particular case of four different directions, from Kolmogorovian probability and the Gutkowski and Valdes-Franco computational method. These conditions are compared with those imposed by Bell's inequality. It is proved that Bell's inequality is a necessary but not a sufficient condition for local Kolmogorovian probability. The further assumptions to be added to Bell's inequality, in order to prove the equivalence with local Kolmogorovian probability, are studied. The connection with the results obtained by other authors on the subject is discussed.
