Notes: Flight simulator is a complex man-in-the-loop (MIL) simulation system. With severaldecades of development, it has already become important tools of aircraft design and development, and necessary means of pilot training. And simulation credibility and reliability of the flightsimulator have been considerably improved in comparison with the past. However, the system offlight simulator has become increasingly complex and difficult to be described clearly. This paperpresents the concepts of conceptual layer and achieving layer, analyzes the composition andprinciple of the commercial aircraft flight simulator for pilot training from the two layers, describesthe system architecture in detail. According to the system architecture, three aspects are veryimportant to develop the flight simulator, the first is the fidelity of the simulation models, thesecond is the performance of cueing devices, and the last are the computing capacity of the hostcomputers and the time delay over the communication networks

Notes: Based on extensive study on literatures of control of parallel manipulators and serialmanipulators, control strategies such as computed torque control, PD+ control, PD with feedforwardcompensation, nonlinear adaptive control are classified into two categories: model-based control andperformance-based control. Besides, as advanced control strategies, robust control andpassivity-based control for the parallel manipulators are also introduced. Comparative study in viewof computation burden and tracking performance are performed. It turned out that the physicalstructure properties of parallel manipulators’ dynamics are similar with that of serial ones, and thisconstitutes a common foundation for the two kinds of manipulators to develop together that controldesign of parallel manipulators can start with ever established control methods of serial manipulators

Notes: The force of control column is very important for the pilot in a flight simulator. So thecontrol loading system in the flight simulator has been concerned since the flight simulatorappeared. As the force command signal generated part of control loading system, flight controlsystem module is the most important module for the fidelity of control loading system. This paperdescribed a method to build flight control module. We used SimMechanics in simulink to modeland analyze the feel and centering unit, which is the key part of feeling system in the flight controlsystem, and in this paper we described the structure of the control loading system, and the functionof the feel and centering unit

Notes: In industrial practice, for the designers and researchers of the electro-hydraulic servosystem, it is desirable to boost the reliability of controllers, to shorten the design cycle of controlalgorithms, to simplify the modification of control algorithms during experiments and to shortentraining period for operators. In this paper, we present a new, complete and integrated method basedon the rapid control prototyping for the real-time digital control applied in electro-hydraulic servosystem. The approach uses a collection of tools that include both software (LabVIEW and Matlab)and hardware (a host industrial computer and a target developed digital signal processor controller). An application example of the methodology, synchronous loading test system based on artificialneural networks, completes the discussion about the performance of the designed system

Notes: Knowledge of a vehicle’s inertial parameters is essential for safety research and accidentreconstruction. A precision measure system is proposed to determine the weight and gravity centerfor heavy vehicles. Based on a static gravity measuring principle with three measuring points, ahydraulically driven 2-DOF motion platform is developed. The transfer function model is derivedfor the hydraulically driven system. By means of a degree-of-freedom control scheme, the platformcan realize accurate positioning to construct two intersected planes and work out thethree-dimensional coordinates of the vehicle gravity center. Experiments demonstrate that thesystem has less than 0.3% measurement error in weight, and is able to measure the gravity centreaccurately with deviation ≤3mm in X and Y direction, and ≤5mm in Z direction
