Notes:
The growing interest in total quality management programmes iswell-known, although there is some concern that such programmes have, inpractice, paid only limited attention to human resource managementissues. Uses the findings of a primary case study and two secondary casestudies to examine this particular proposition. The basic findingsindicate that both the introduction and the operation of total qualitymanagement programmes require a consistent management approach, withparticular effort being given to making complementary changes in relatedhuman resource management practices.
