Notes: Abstract Measurements of differential cross sections of the reactionγ+p→π 0 +p are described. In this experiment which was carried out at the Bonn 500 MeV synchrotron the recoil proton was detected. It was the aim of the experiment to check and to extend the available cross section data towards smaller pion cm angles. In order to overcome the difficulties connected with the corresponding low proton energies a gas target and a time-of-flight telescope were used. Absolute differential cross sections at pion cm angles of 40°, 50°, 60° and 70° and at photon lab energies between 240 and 380 MeV are reported.

Notes: Abstract New measurements of the differential cross sections of the reactionγ+p→π 0+p which were described in Part I and II gave rise to a careful and critical comparison of their results with the data of earlier experiments, in particular with those carried out at Bonn. It was found that after some cuts and minor modifications applied to the older experiments the data of all experiments done at Bonn can be combined to one set. This set of data covers nearly the whole kinematical region from 220 up to 500 MeV. On the basis of this extended set of data a multipole analysis was done by theorists at Bonn. Due to the fact that cross sections at small angles had become available this analysis gave more reliable figures for some of the smaller multipole amplitudes, in particular for the electric dipole amplitudeE +.
