Notes:
Summary Presented below is an electrochemical method for the determination of hydrogen peroxide levels in the atmospheric liquid water. The hydrogen peroxide concentration is determined by a voltammetric method involving a rotating disk electrode. The oxidation limiting current at +0.4 V/SCE is proportional to the concentration of hydrogen peroxide found in 1 mol/l KNO3 containing a phosphate buffer, pH 7.5. An analytical blank is prepared ‘in situ’ by addition of catalase enzyme to avoid interferences. The detection limit obtained is 5×10−9 mol/l.
