Summary A description is given of an automatic single crystal X-ray diffractometer according to Hoppe. In addition to the X-ray source, the main components are a 4 circle-diffractometer with an Eulerian cradle and a programed electronic measuring and control circuitry. The input information contains 3 angles to set the shafts of the diffractometer for each reflection accordingly. The intensity of the reflections is measured in a manner depending on the program selected and fed to the output. The measuring time can automatically be ascertained so as to attain approximately a predetermined equivalent precision for all reflections. The kind of programing allows for repetitive checks on the proper operation of the machine. A punched tape of the telex-type is used for input and output. The machine also lends itself to the use of punched cards and on line operation with a computer.

Zusammenfassung Es wird berichtet über eine Anlage nach Hoppe zur automatischen Vermessung der Intensität von Beugungsreflexen an Einkristallen. Neben der Einrichtung zur Erzeugung der Röntgenstrahlung sind ihre wesentlichen Bestandteile ein 4-Kreis-Diffraktometer mit Eulerwiege und eine programmierbare Meß- und Steuerelektronik. Eingegeben wird die Lage der Reflexe in Form von 3 Winkeln und nach einer durch wählbare Programme vorgegebenen Meßroutine deren Intensität gemessen und ausgedruckt. Dabei wird die Meßzeit jeweils automatisch so ermittelt, daß alle Reflexe mit annähernd gleicher und vorgegebener Genauigkeit erfaßt werden. Laufende Kontrollen auf einwandfreie Funktion sind ebenfalls im Programm enthalten. Für Ein- und Ausgabe wird in der Normalausführung ein Lochstreifen im Telex-Code verwendet. Umstellung auf Lochkarten und peripherer Anschluß einer Rechenmaschine sind möglich. Konstruktion des Diffraktometers, Aufbau der Meß- und Steuerelektronik und die Meßroutine werden kurz beschrieben.
