Notes: Abstract Expressions are obtained for the cross section of photoproduction of an electron-positron pair on a nucleus and on an electron in the field of a weak electromagnetic wave in the resonance region corresponding to the virtual electron (positron) being on the mass shell. The magnitude of these cross sections relative to ordinary pair production by a photon on a nucleus and on an electron is estimated. It is shown that this mechanism can enhance pair production by a photon on a nucleus and on an electron in the resonance region with simultaneous detection of the electron (positron) at a large angle.

Notes: Abstract. The dynamical effects of the entrance channel on the competition between quasifission and fusion processes, and on the evaporation residue formation are investigated. We have analyzed the results and compared our calculations with the experimental data obtained in the 16 O + 204 Pb and 96 Zr + 124 Sn reactions having very different mass asymmetries and leading to the 220 Th * compound nucleus. We have found that different partial capture cross-sections $\sigma_\ell^{\rm cap}(E)$ for these reactions lead to different fusion-quasifission competitions and, consequently, to different partial fusion cross-sections $\sigma_\ell^{\rm fus}(E)$ of the compound nucleus formed in the two reactions. The dynamical conditions also affect the fission-evaporation competition of the excited intermediate nuclei along the CN de-excitation cascade and, consequently, the evaporation residue formation.

Notes: Abstract In the single-particle approach a partition of the excitation energy between the reaction products in deep inelastic collisions of heavy ions are investigated. The role of the particle-hole excitations and the nucleon exchange is considered. The ratio of the projectile excitation energy to the total excitation energy for the reactions238U(1468 MeV)+124Sn,238U(1398 MeV)+110Pd,56Fe(505MeV)+165Ho,74Ge (629 MeV)+165Ho and68Ni(880 MeV)+197Au is calculated. The results of calculations are in good agreement with the experimental data.
