Notes:
An analytical method for polymer mixtures has been developed, using gas chromatographic separation of pyrolysis products on a capillary column. This technique uses one set of column conditions for the analysis of a number of polymers, including those from methyl methacrylate, ethyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, butadiene, acrylonitrile, vinyl acetate, and styrene, either as homopolymers on as copolymers of two or more components.
