Notes: Abstract The levels of odd-odd80, 82Br nuclei have been investigated via80, 82Se(p, nγ)80, 82Br reactions. Excitation functions and angular distributions were analysed with the Hauser-Feshbach compound nucleus theory. 27 and 29 levels have been identified. The transitions connecting the first 1+ and 2−levels have been studied by the delayed coincidence method and their half-lives are 7.8±0.5 ns and 7.2±0.8 ns for80Br and82Br respectively. The experimental results are discussed in the framework of thej- j coupling.

Notes: Abstract The level structures of the doubly odd nuclei80Br and82Br have been studied by means of the thermal neutron capture reactions79Br(n, γ)80Br and81Br(n, γ)82Br. Captureγ-ray spectra from isotopically separated targets have been measured in the approximate energy intervals 30〈E γ(keV)〈1100 with three bent crystal spectrometers installed at the Grenoble high-flux reactor. Measurements with Ge(Li) detectors covered the energy range 0.1〈E(MeV)〈8. Gamma-gamma coincidences have been taken at the research reactor FRJ-2 (Dido) at the Kernforschungsanlage Jülich. The conversion-electron spectra of80Br and82Br from thermal neutron capture have been measured with the beta-spectrometer at the Grenoble high-flux reactor. Using all these data the level schemes of80Br and82Br are proposed up to 1.5 MeV. Spin assignments for the excited states below 800 keV are proposed. The level schemes are discussed in terms of shell model configurations and, as an alternative description, in terms of the Nilsson model.

Notes: Abstract The decay of 3.0 min143Eu has been investigated by means of a Ge(Li) detector. TheΒ + spectrum obtained with a Si(Li) spectrometer leads to aQ-value of 5100±50 keV. For the first time a decay scheme including levels situated at 107.5, 755.0, 1107.9, 1537.5 and 1912.8 keV has been established. The data are compared to those obtained for the neighbouringN=81141Nd nucleus. Besides, new experimental measurements indicate that the 1345.4 keV level in141Nd has not the odd-parity and would be 5/2+, 7/2+. Hence, the 7/2− state is situated at 1967.4 keV. Those data are in reasonable agreement with intermediate coupling calculations.
