    Description / Table of Contents: New Ladbane Derivatives from Aristeguietia pseudoarboreaThe investigation of the aerial parts of Aristeguietia pseudoarborea afforded in addition to widespread compounds five new labdane derivatives the structures of which have been elucidated by spectroscopic methods and a few chemical transformations. The absolute configuration could be deduced from the positive Cotton effect of a ketone which was obtained by partial acetylation and oxidation of the main constituent.
    Notes: Die Untersuchung der oberirdischen Teile von Aristeguietia pseudoarborea ergab neben weitverbreiteten Verbindungen fünf neue Labdan-Derivate, deren Strukturen durch spektroskopische Methoden und einige chemische Umwandlungen geklärt wurden. Die absolute konfiguration wurde aus dem positiven Cotton-Effekt eines Ketons abgeleitet, das durch partielle Acetylierung und Oxidation der Hauptverbindung erhalten wurde.

    Description / Table of Contents: Steiractinolides from Aspilia and Wedelia SpeciesThe reinvestigation of the polar fractions of Aspilia parvifolia afforded eight further steiractinolides and one geranylgeraniol derivative. The aerial parts of a new Wedelia species gave three derivatives of 4,5-dihydrosteiractinolides. The structures were elucidated by detailed 1H NMR studies. The configurations of some eudesmanolides from Wedelia trilobata were corrected and the absolute configuration of the steiractinolides has been determined by using the Horeau method.
    Notes: Die erneute Untersuchung der polaren Fraktionen von Aspilia parvifolia ergibt acht weitere Steiractinolide und ein Geranylgeraniol-Derivat. Die oberirdischen Teile einer neuen Wedelia-Art liefern drei Derivate von 4,5-Dihydrosteiractinolid. Die Strukturen werden durch eingehende 1H-NMR-Untersuchungen geklärt. Die Konfigurationen einiger Eudesmanolide aus Wedelia trilobata werden korrigiert, und die absolute Konfiguration der Steiractinolide wird mit Hilfe der Horeau-Methode bestimmt.

    Description / Table of Contents: New Spirosesquiterpenelactones, Germacranolides, and Eudesmanolides from Wunderlichia mirabilisA reinvestigation of the aerial parts of Wunderlichia mirabilis afforded in addition to known compounds ten sesquiterpenelactones, three cis-12,6-germacranolides (7-9), three eudesmanolides (11, 13 and 14), an elemanolide (12) which may be an artifact, and three rearranged eudesmanolides, the spiro compounds 17-19 as well as ylangenyl acetate (1). The structures were elucidated by high-field 1H NMR spectroscopy and some chemical transformations. The stereochemistry of wunderolide (10) and of two onoseriolide (24 and 25) derivatives, which were isolated previously, are corrected.
    Notes: Eine erneute Untersuchung der oberirdischen Teile ovn Wunderlichia mirabilis ergibt zusätzlich zu bekannten Verbindungen zehn Sesquiterpenlactone, drei cis-12,6-Germacranolide (7-9), drei Eudesmanolide (11, 13 und 14), ein Elemanolid (12), das ein Artefact sein könnte, und drei umgelagerte Eudesmanolide, die Spiroverbindungen 17-19 sowie Ylangenylacetat (1). Die Strukturen werden durch Hochfeld-1H-NMR-Spektroskopie und einige chemische Umwandlungen geklärt. Die Stereochemie von Wunderolid (10) und von zwei Onoserioliden (24 und 25), die früher isoliert wurden, wird korrigiert.

Furthermore, four new sesquiterpenic acids 38 and 42 - 44, the longipinene derivative 10, and a chromene derivative 11 can be isolated. The structures were elucidated mainly by high-field 1H-NMR spectroscopy. Biogenetic relationships are discussed briefly.
    Notes: Zwei Stevia-Arten aus Argentinien ergeben neben bekannten Verbindungen 18 neue Sesquiterpenlactone, die Guajanolide 1, 5a/b, 6a/b, 14, 15 und 17, die Eudesmanolide 19, 21 und 22, die Elemanolide 25 und 26 und die Eremophilanolide 28 - 30, 32 und 33. Außerdem isoliert man vier neue Sesquiterpensäuren 38 und 42 - 44, das Longipinen-Derivat 10 und ein Chromen-Derivat 11. Die Strukturen wurden vor allem durch Hochfeld-1H-NMR-Spektroskopie geklärt und deren biogenetischen Beziehungen kurz diskutiert.
