Summary For polychloropren exists a linear relation between the dielectric constant and the crystalline fraction. The dielectric constant has its maximum value for the amorphous phase and its minimum value for the maximum crystallized material. Therefore it is possible to investigate by measurements of the dielectric constant or of the capacity of a condensator filled with sample, respectively, the crystallization kinetics of the material. The measurements were carried out at various temperatures and the constant frequency of 1 Kc. The found crystallization isotherms in the temperature range of −16 °C to +20 °C are in accordance with the principle of superposition. The evaluation according the theory ofAvrami predicts the existence of a homogeneous nucleation with a three dimensional growth. The velocity of crystallization shows the usual maximum of the temperature dependence; in this case at −2 °C.
