Description / Table of Contents: Electronic Structure of Highly Symmetrical Compounds of the Lanthanides and Actinides XIII. Cs2KYF6- a Lattice which is Especially Suitable for Spectroscopic Studies of Fluoro-ElpasolitesThe preparation of Cs2KYF6: Eu, Tb is described in detail and the particular suitability of the resulting products for spectroscopical measurements is proved by their well resolved bands in the fluorescence spectra. Following the interpretation of the emission spectra of Cs2NaEUCl6 and Cs2NaTbCl6 the observed O—O transitions of magnetic dipole and electric Quadrupole Character respectively can be assigned. A closer analysis of the vibronic transitions Cs2NaY0,99Eu0,01F6allows a determination of the energies of some vibrational states of odd parity.
