Notes:
A two-stage electron cyclotron resonance source with a superconducting magnet system and a microwave frequency of 14.4 GHz for both plasma stages is in operation at the Jülich cyclotron since 1986. After same upgrading of the first plasma stage it can produce more than 1 μA of fully stripped Ne, 0.8 μ of 40Ar16+ and of 84Kr25+ ions in continuous wave operation.
