Notes:
Muscle-eye-brain disease (MEB) is a rare syndrome characterized by congenital muscular dystrophy, ocular abnormalities, and malformation of the central nervous system. We describe the anaesthetic management of a child suffering from MEB. The main anaesthesia-related problem was a contracture of the mandibular joint, which led to decreased mouth opening and difficult intubation. No difficulties were encountered as a result of the perioperative presence of a persistently low body temperature (33.2°C-35.5°C).;
