Notes: The neutron energy spectrum from d+t and d+d reactions in a thermonuclear fusion plasma is investigated with the help of a combination of analytical and numerical (Monte Carlo) methods. The energy moments of the neutron spectrum are analytically determined as a function of ion temperature (Ti) and the spectral shape is numerically determined over an intensity span of about 6 orders magnitude. The results are presented in the form of tables and interpolation formulas valid in the range 0〈Ti〈100 keV for use in the advanced diagnostic interpretation of potential high accuracy neutron spectrometry measurements on burning tokamak plasmas. © 1997 American Institute of Physics.
