Notes: Abstract The inclusive alpha particle spectra from the breakup of the3He+7Li system atE 3He=42.9 MeV are analyzed in the frame of the nuclear reaction model whose matrix element does not depend on the relative energies of the outgoing particles and is therefore constant. The comparison with a recent analysis of thep+9Be interaction, leading to the same composite system, has shown the correlation of the final-state configuration on the entrance-channel cluster structure. the existence of broad excited states for6Li excitation energies between 19 and 28 MeV is confirmed.

Notes: Abstract. Parton energy loss effects in heavy-ion collisions are studied with the Monte Carlo program PQM (Parton Quenching Model) constructed using the BDMPS quenching weights and a realistic collision geometry. The merit of the approach is that it contains only one free parameter that is tuned to the high-p t nuclear modification factor measured in central Au-Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}} = 200$ GeV. Once tuned, the model is consistently applied to all the high-p t observables at 200 GeV: the centrality evolution of the nuclear modification factor, the suppression of the away-side jet-like correlations, and the azimuthal anisotropies for these observables. Predictions for the leading-particle suppression at nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass energies of 62.4 and 5500 GeV are presented. The limits of the eikonal approximation in the BDMPS approach, when applied to finite-energy partons, are discussed.

Notes: Abstract The yield and average cross section for the reactions11B(p, n)11C,12C(p, γ)13N,13C(p, n)13N, 12 12 C(d, n)13N,14N(p, α)11C,16O(p, α)13N,16O(d, n)17F,16O(t, n)18F, and18O(p, n)18F have been measured in different compounds. The charged particles were created in the samples themselves either through recoil by scattering of 14 MeV neutrons off hydrogen and deuterium, or by the (n, t) reaction on6Li using thermal neutrons. The yields of reactions12C(d, n);16O(p, α);16O(t, n) and18O(p, n) have been measured using proton, deuteron and triton spectra generated by 14 MeV neutrons in the reactions D(n, p)2n;6Li(n, d);7Li(n, d) and10B(n, d);7Li(n, t) and10B(n, t), respectively.
