Notes: Our experiments highlight that gold-silicon eutectics are fairly influenced by the thicknessof Au layer and the wastage of Si, i.e. the wasting thickness of the silicon die. In the experiments, abonding intensity testing method, called Press-arm model, is used to verify the Au-Si eutecticsbonding strength. Through the intensity value of the bonding interface, we analyze the eutecticscondition of the bonding interface at different temperatures and discuss the optimum procession ofthe wafer capsulation

Notes: It is very difficult matter that polishes the internal surface of the pipe, especially to the thinpipe with the traditional surface technology. Because a usual tool cannot into the inner surface of thethin pipe and automation do not achieved easily. This paper brings up a new method that utilize thecharacteristic of the magnetic force line may penetrate the non-magnetic material, may using themagnetic abrasive finishing (MAF) method complete to the inner surface of the thin pipe precisepolishing. The magnetic abrasive finishing does not need special equipment to complete the complexshape internal surface polishing. Moreover, we already obtained the famous processing effectthrough the experiment. Meanwhile this paper analyses some factors of influences efficiency, andpropose some solution method

Notes: Utilize the characteristic that magnetic force line may penetrate the non-magneticmaterial, using the magnetic abrasive finishing (MAF) method complete to the non-magnetic smallworkpiece surface precise processing. In order to enhance polishing efficiency, usually with themagnetic particles and abrasive particles mixes together in the sinter method or the cementationmethod, the cost is higher; the variety is not also complete. Therefore, use the simply mixed methodmixed the ferromagnetism iron particles, the alumina particles and the lipin, directly participates inmagnetism polishing, already obtained the good processing effect through the experiment. Thispaper analysis and explanation the best experimental condition such as the granularity proportion ofthe ferromagnetism iron particles and the alumina particles etc

Notes: A molecular dynamic simulation study has been performed for a large-sized systemconsisting of 106 liquid metal Al atoms to deeply investigate the formation and magic numbercharacteristics of various cluster formed during solidification processes. It has been found that thenumbers of various types of cluster in the system obviously possess peak values, namely, magicnumbers. The first, second, third, .…,and tenth magic numbers are determined in turn in the order of13, 19, 25(27), 31(33), 38(40), 42(45), 48(51), 55(59), 61(65), 67,…( the numbers in the bracketsare the second peak values in the corresponding level of cluster). This magic number serial is ingood agreement with the experimental results obtained by Harris et al, and this method determiningthe magic numbers from the clusters according to the level of basic cluster can be used to afford aprimary scientific and reasonable explanation to experimental results

Notes: We have designed, simulated, fabricated, and characterized high-voltage 4H-SiC p-channelDMOS-IGBTs on 20 kV blocking layers for use as the next generation of power switching devices. These p-IGBTs exhibit significant conductivity modulation in the drift layer. The maximum currentsof the experimental p-channel IGBTs are 1.2x and 2.1x higher than the ideal 20 kV n-channelDMOSFETs at room temperature and 175°C, respectively

Notes: Purpose - To evaluate the competing reaction of isocyanate with cellulose and water which can provide direction for further studies on bonding and curing reactions of isocyanate with wood. Design/methodology/approach - Two modern analytical techniques, Fourier transform infra-red (FTIR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), were used. The FTIR was used to identify the products of the reaction of phenyl isocyanate (PI) with alcohol, water, and cellulose; while the XPS was used to evaluate the proportions of isocyanate that reacted with water or cellulose when PI reacted with cellulose at different moisture contents (MCs), respectively. Findings - Methods for the IR identifications of reaction results of PI with n-propanol, water, and cellulose, in which the reactions of PI with water and PI with cellulose resulted in N,N'-diphenylurea and carbamate, respectively, were developed. It was discovered that the extent of reaction of isocyanate and cellulose decreased with increasing cellulose MC, and 92.98 per cent isocyanate reacted with water when 9.78 per cent MC was reached. It was confirmed that the products of the PI reaction were distributed mainly on the surface of the cellulose particles. Research limitations/implications - The study only focused on the reaction of PI. However, the industrial isocyanates, e.g. methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI), polymerized methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (p-MDI) that have complexities in chemical structures and components, make analyses with FTIR and XPS impossible. Practical implications - The paper provides some instructive information about the isocyanate reaction that will help understanding the characteristics of isocyanate and guiding the design of technology bonding isocyanate to fibre, wood, etc. Originality/value - The application of FTIR and XPS for evaluating the reaction of isocyanate with cellulose having different MCs was novel and may be used as a reference for other relevant studies.

Notes: 1. In the present study, we tested the hypothesis that, even in the absence of prior ischaemia, 2,3-butanedione monoxime (BDM), an inhibitor of contraction at the actin–myosin level, could produce the postischaemic dysfunction characteristic of stunned myocardium. 2,3-Butanedione monoxime was injected directly into the left anterior descending coronary artery (LAD) before and again after myocardial stunning produced by 15 min occlusion of the LAD followed by 30 min reperfusion.2. Regional myocardial force, segment shortening and regional work were measured in both the LAD-perfused area and the area perfused by the circumflex coronary artery, which served as a control area. Regional dysfunction produced by BDM injection or ischaemia–reperfusion was assessed quantitatively by five parameters: end-diastolic length (EDL), shortening onset delay (delay), systolic bulge (bulge), end-shortening time delay (EST) and tail work ratio (TWR).3. It was found that injection of BDM into the LAD caused dyskinesis similar to that caused by occlusion–reperfusion. Both displayed elevated EDL and marked increases in delay, bulge, EST and TWR; these parameters were significantly higher in the dyskinesis caused by BDM injection. Despite dysfunctional fibre shortening, intracoronary BDM injection did not reduce regional force.4. Thus, BDM can elicit changes similar to those characteristic of postischaemic dysfunction. Because contractility was not impaired, dysfunction was apparently caused by disrupting the association between contractile force and muscle motion.

Notes: Summary.  Factor X (FX) deficiency is a rare bleeding disorder inherited as an autosomal recessive trait. In this study, we investigated the molecular basis of FX deficiency in a Chinese pedigree. The proposita showed a markedly prolonged activated partial thromboplastin time and a mild prolongation of prothrombin time. The levels of FX antigen and FX activity were 58.6% and 2.5%, respectively. Molecular analysis revealed that the proposita was compound heterozygous for two novel mutations: IVS1 + 1G 〉 A and G1185A (Arg347His). The aberrant transcripts from the IVS1 + 1G 〉 A mutant allele were not detected by analyzing the splicing pattern of ectopic transcripts in leukocytes of the patient with nested polymerase chain reaction after reverse transcription. We thus hypothesize that the mRNA molecules originating from the IVS1 + 1G 〉 A mutation were rapidly destroyed in vivo. Site-directed mutagenesis of FX cDNA was used to introduce FXG1185A mutation, and wild-type as well as mutant FX proteins were expressed by transient transfection in HEK 293 cells. Normal FX antigen levels both in the conditioned media of cells expressing the mutant and in cell lysates were detected by an enzyme-linked immunoadsorbent assay. Evaluation of wild-type and mutant coagulant activity demonstrated that the FX molecules carrying the Arg347His mutation have dramatically decreased activity.

Notes: summary  In the present study, the biocompatibility of mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) to the revascularization of the connective tissues was evaluated by using the improved rabbit ear chamber, in vivo. Twenty improved rabbit ear chamber was prepared from 12 male albino-rabbit by using a well through which a material could be introduced into the living vascular tissue. Ten chambers were provided for MTA, and the remaining 10 chambers were used for a calcium hydroxide-containing root canal sealer (Sealapex), as a comparator. A volume of about 1·5 mm3 of the materials were inserted into the chamber and the interaction between the vascular tissue and materials was observed by using a biomicroscope immediately after application, at 1, 3, 5·5, 8, 24, 48, 72 h, and once a week up to 4 weeks. The results revealed that revascularization of connective tissue took place with complete recovery of microcirculation within 4 weeks in both MTA and Sealapex. However, the precipitate-barrier and brown zone around periphery of Sealapex was not observed in MTA treated samples. It can be concluded that MTA is biocompatible and does not produce any adverse site effect on microcirculation of the connective tissue.
