    Notes: A multigrid algorithm for implementation on unstructured meshes is proposed. The algorithm uses a sequence of unnested grids and requires the development of efficient inter-grid interpolation procedures. It is demonstrated how elliptic problems can be solved in this fashion by using Jacobi smoothers.

    Notes: We present in this paper a general formulation for shallow water equations which is capable of solving problems of induced harbour oscillation, tidal flow, tsunami propagation, dispersion of pollutant, etc.The shallow water equations are written in a novel fully conservative form. The solution algorithm is based on an explicit time integration procedure which exploits the conservative properties of the governing equations and incorporates accurate treatment of convective terms without introduction of artificial damping. Its accuracy and low cost of computation make it attractive vis-à-vis existing procedures.

    Notes: We present the extension of flux-corrected transport (FCT) schemes to unstructured grids. The spatial discretization is performed via finite elements. In particular, we have chosen triangular elements in two dimensions. The limiting procedure is based on Zalesak's extension to more than one dimension of the FCT schemes developed by Boris and Book. The resulting scheme, FEM-FCT, is capable of resolving moving and stationary shocks within two elements, and several examples are given that demonstrate the accuracy attainable, even for complicated geometries.
