Notes:
Summary The widely documented treatment of nonunion with various clinical applications of electrical stimulation has met with an excellent success rate (70–93.6%). Local muscle flaps are widely accepted in the treatment of osteomyelitic lesions, and in our departments a combined, one-stage application of electrical stimulation with local muscle flap has been used on six cases of infected nonunion of the tibia with excellent results.
