    Notes: Abstract Data for elastic scattering of alpha particles from12C and Ca-isotopes at 1,370 MeV are analyzed in terms of a phenomenological optical potential. No evidence is found for deviations of the real part from the usual Woods-Saxon shape, as it is the case for proton scattering at corresponding energies. A further increase in nuclear transparency is found compared to 700 MeV.
