Zusammenfassung Postoperative Verlaufskontrollen nach großen Femureingriffen zeigen einen postoperativen Abfall von Gerinnungsfaktoren, Antithrombin III, Fibrinogen, Plasminogen und Protein C mit Normalisierung bis zum dritten postoperativen Tag. Die Senkung der Plättchenfaktor 4-Aktivität in den Proben läßt sich durch Kühlung der Proben und höhere Zentrifugation erreichen. Die Senkung der Plättchenfaktor 4-Aktivität in den Proben führt zu höheren Meßergebnissen für Heparin-Aktivität und PTT.

Summary After major operations of the femur, postoperative monitoring shows a decrease in the levels of coagulation factors, antithrombin III, fibrinogen, plasminogen and protein C, with a return to normal within 3 days. Platelet factor 4 levels can be considerably reduced by cooling the specimen and high-speed centrifugation. The reduction of platelet factor 4 levels in the specimen results in a measurable increase of the heparin acitivity and a prolongation of the partial thromboplastin time.
