The aim of this communication is to present an alternative interpretation of low-field charge carrier drift velocity saturation in polycrystalline organic solids. It is assumed that the above effect is due to grain barriers. In the materials under study, thermal generation of charge carriers is negligible. Therefore the charging of grain barriers is due to the carriers injected, and in the case of electrode injection is dependent on the field applied. The consequences of the above ideas as well as comparison with experiment is presented.
