Der Einfluß von Art, Anzahl und Konfiguration der Substituenten von 1,3-Dioxolan-2-ylium-Kationen auf ihre Reaktivität wurde durch Untersuchungen der Reaktionen dieser kationen mit nucleophilen Verbindungen und der mit ihren Salzen initiierten Polymerisation von Dioxolan und Dioxepan ermittelt. Die beobachteten Reaktivitätsunterschiede wurden unter Berücksichtigung der sterischen Behinderung und der Verteilung der positiven Ladung in den Kationen diskutiert.

The influence of the number and the kind of substituents as well as their configuration on the reactivity of substituted 1,3-dioxolan-2-ylium cations was estimated by investigating their reactions with some nucleophiles and the polymerization of dioxolane and dioxepane initiated by salts of these cations. The differences in reactivity observed are discussed with respect to steric hindrance and the distribution of positive charges in the cations.
