Notes: Abstract Postaccelerated58Ni and60Ni beams from the Munich MP tandem have been used to study the compound reactions58Ni→93Nb,92Mo,94Mo and60Ni→92Mo. The final nuclei148Er,150Er and147Ho have been investigated with in-beamγ-spectroscopic methods, such as excitation functions,γγ coincidences, bunched-beam and pulsed-beam techniques. Level schemes of148Er,150Er and147Ho have been established with the following level energies, spins, parities and half-lives:148Er: 646.6 keV 2+; 1,524.0(4+); 2,254.3(5−); 2,526.9(6+); 2,537.3(7−), 2,706.0(7−, 8−); 2,784.4(8+); 2,915.5(10+) 13±3 μs150Er: 1,578.9 keV 2+; 1,786.4 3−; 2,261.2(5−); 2,634.1(7−); 2,734.3(8+); 2,798.3(10+) 2.7±0.2 us; 4,001.9; 4,491.8; 4,886.0; 5,222.7147Ho: 765.4; 1,737.2; 2,355; 2,656.6 The level scheme of150Er has been discussed in the framework of the seniority scheme. Perfect agreement with the experiment has been found for the predictions of this scheme for the half-lives of 10+ states inN=82 isotones. This is the first nuclear region where the predictions of the seniority scheme have been observed without strong perturbation.

Notes: Abstract Usingγγ coincidences theEC(K)/β + ratio for theβ decay148Dy→148Tb has been determined.148Dy has been produced through the irradiation of93Nb with 249 MeV58Ni ions. The mass of148Dy has been deduced. With the help of knownQα values the masses of152Er,156Yb,160Hf and164W have been obtained. The experimental masses are compared with different current mass formulae.

Notes: Abstract Very neutron-deficient isotopes of rhodium, palladium, silver, cadmium and indium in theN=50 region were studied at the GSI on-line mass separator following bombardment of58, 60, 62Ni and63, 65Cu targets with 4.0 MeV/u ions of40Ca. The known properties of the β-delayed proton precursor95m Pd were confirmed, but a search for direct proton decay of95m Ag was not successful. Beta-delayed proton activities observed at mass-numbers 94, 96, 97 and 100 were assigned to the precursors94Rh(66±14 s),96Ag(5.1±0.4s),97Cd(3 −2 +4 s) and100In. In addition,94Pd(9.0±0.5 s) was identified from β-γ-X studies. Individual decay schemes of95m96Pd and96, 98Ag are reported.

Notes: Abstract The reaction58Ni→96Ru has been investigated withγ spectroscopic methods and pulsed-beam techniques. A level scheme of the magic nucleus152Yb has been established. The half-life of the isomeric 10+ state was found to be 39±5 μs. The result is discussed in the frame-work of the seniority scheme. Theory and experiment show excellent agreement for the half-lives of the 10+ states in theN=82 isotones148Dy,150Er and [152Yb. A level scheme of151Tm, consisting of ten excited states, has been established.β-decay schemes of [152Yb (3.2±0.3 s),152Tm(m) (8.0±1.0 s) and151Tm (3.8±0.8 s) have been derived. The logft value of theβ transition152Yb (00)→152Tm (1+) has been determined to be about 3.4. It was found that theft values of the favouredβ transitions 0+→1+ in theβ decays of [148Dy,150Er and152Yb are almost inversely proportional to the numbers of protons out of theh 11/2 subshell.

Notes: Abstract The level scheme of91Tc has been studied by means of in-beamγ-ray spectroscopy in the irradiations of58Ni and54Fe targets by40Ca beams from the Munich MP tandem and the heavy ion post accelerator. A large number of positive as well as of negative parity yrast-levels with excitation energies up to 8 MeV has been established. The level scheme of91Tc has been compared with shell model claculations and a good agreement for all identified levels has been found. In parallel investigations of the residual activities of the reaction40Ca→54Fe, theβ decay of the (9/2+ ground) state of91Ru has been investigated. Aβ decay scheme of91Ru(9/2+) has been established. The half-life of91Ru(9/2+) has been measured to be 9±1 s.

Notes: Abstract The level scheme of93Ru has been studied in40Ca induced reactions on Ni and Fe targets. Two new levels feeding the known 17/2+ state have been established: an isomeric level (T1/2=2.6 us) at 2081.5 keV with J=21/2+ and a level at 2103 keV, presumably a 17/2− state. The B(E2; 21/2+→17/2+) value and the level scheme are compared to shell model predictions.

Notes: Abstract The residual activities of the projectile-target system40Ca→58Ni have been investigated with gamma and proton multi spectrum analyses,γγ andpγ coincidences. Aβ decaying high-spin isomer in95Pd withJ π=(21/2+), a half-life of 14±1 s and an excitation energy of about 2 MeV has been identified. It has been found that95Pd m is aβ delayed proton precursor. The totalβ branching to proton emitting states has been determined to be (0.74±0.19)·10−2. It has been observed that the final state in94Ru, populated after proton emission, is dominantly the 8+ state. A decay scheme of95Pd m has been derived.

Notes: Abstract In the course of systematic studies of very proton rich nuclei in theN≈82 region with Ni induced compound reactions, an unusually long-lived high spin isomer has been found. After in-and off-beamγ and conversion electron measurements, asγ excitation functions,γ andeγ coincidences, pulsed beam techniques and multi spectrum analyses of the residual activities, this isomer has been tentatively assigned to be a 10+ state in146Dy, which decays into two 7− states byE3 transitions. The half-life of the isomer has been measured to be 150±20ms. The isomer has been found to follow the β decay of the previously unknown 3.9 s isotope146Ho. The mechanism of the appearance of such an isomer is discussed.
