Abstract The lifetimes of a number of levels in119Sb have been measured with the Doppler shift attenuation method (DSAM) using the119Sn(p, nγ 119Sb reaction and observing theγ-rays emitted by the119Sb nuclei recoiling in the self-supporting119Sn target. The lifetimes are: 〉500 fs, 644.01 keV; 〉440 fs, 699.85 keV; 〉440 fs, 1 048.50 keV; 〉500 fs, 1212.69 keV; 〉110fs, 1327.22 keV; 105 −40 +85 fs, 1338.70keV; 175 −65 +145 fs, 1413.19 keV; 〉310 fs, 1487.58 keV; 〉650 fs, 1646.5 keV; 33 −10 +15 fs, 1749.65keV; 100 −50 +200 fs and 50 −20 +60 fs, 1821.13 keV; 〉190 fs, 1848.2 keV; 120 −60 +300 fs, 1 875.0 keV; 160 −90 +400 fs, 1982.0 keV; 〈20 fs, 2269.1 keV; 170 −85 +400 fs, 2415.5 keV. The experimental reduced transition probabilities are discussed in the framework of current models.
