Notes: Abstract Measuring energy spectra of nuclei afterγ-decay of excited states in flight the spin alignment of12C2+ states has been measured. Inelastic scattering,16O(16C,12C2+)16O and the reaction12C(16O,12C2+)16O leading to12C2+ (4.43 MeV) state have been studied. Characteristic line shapes of the12C2+ peak were observed using a Q3D magnetic spectrometer. The magnetic substate (m-states) population has been deduced from the spectra as function of reaction angle. A comparison of the measuredm-state population with reaction models shows that the first reaction is consistent with inelastic scattering although discrepancies remain. Discrepancies are also obtained if the reaction12C(16O,12C2+)16O is interpreted using a FRDWBA transfer calculation. At least 1/3 of the cross section can be attributed toα-transfer. A calculation which couples transfer and inelastic scattering channels seems to be necessary.

Notes: Abstract The utility of the (18O20Ne) reaction at small angles for the mass determination of highly neutron rich nuclei is demonstrated by a determination of the mass excess of62Fe as (−58.946±0.022) MeV and of68Ni as (−63.466±0.028) MeV. An excited state of62Fe is observed at 0.875 MeV.

Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Flächenausdehnung und Tiefe bestimmen die Verschlußmethode.
Notes: Summary Extension of scalp defects in surface area and depth indicate the appropriate method of closure. Immediate closure should be attempted, particularly if periosteum or bone is injured. The best method after burns is skin grafting on the periosteum or the bone directly after removal of the tabula externa when periosteum is lost. Any defect up to 6 cm can be closed easily by scalp rotation. Extensive defects need scalp flap shifts and transplantation. This procedure is illustrated with photographs of a 12-cm defect following radical extirpation of a basal-cell tumor involving bone and dura.
