Zusammenfassung Die vorgelegte Untersuchung der Verhältnisse über New Delhi bezieht sich auf den Monsun-Monat Juli. Es wurden die am besten eingepaßten mittleren vertikalen Taupunktprofile über der Station berechnet. Aus den darus, für die verschiedenen Druckniveaus entonommenen Mittelwerten des Taupunktes wurden die entsprechenden Mischungsverhältnisse berechnet. Mit Hilfe dieser Werte des Mischungsverhältnisses wurde nach der Methode von Solot der Mittelwert des Precipitable Water bestimmt. Daraus ergab sich ein Monatsmittel des Precipitable Water von 182,9 gr/cm2 über New Delhi im Monat Juli.

Summary The monsoon month of July has been chosen for the present study over New Delhi. The best fit vertical mean dew-point profiles, over the station, have been computed. The mean dew-point values at various desired levels have been taken from these profiles to calculate the mixing ratios there. Solot's method has been used to calculate the mean amount of precipitable water with the help of these mixing ratio values. From the present investigation, the mean monthly precipitable water amount comes to be 182.9 gms/cm2 over New Delhi during the month of July.
