The Preparation of O-Substituted Esters of SugarsIn this paper the syntheses of 14 O-acetylated carbohydrate esters of different acids are described according to a new method. The esters are prepared by reaction of the acids with O-substituted halocarbohydrates, e. g. acetobromoglucose in the presence of amines, e. g. triethylamine. We have synthesized according to this procedure also the 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-β-D-glucopyranosylesters of such instable acids like abscisic acid, 3-indoleacetic acid and gibberellic acid in yields of more than 50%.

Es werden die Synthesen von 14 O-acetylierten Zuckerestern verschiedenster Säuren nach einem neuen Verfahren beschrieben. Die Darstellung erfolgt durch Umsetzung der Säuren mit O-substituierten Halogenzuckern, z. B. α-Acetobromglucose in Gegenwart eines Amins, z. B. Triäthylamin. Nach dem Verfahren gelang unter anderem die Darstellung der 2,3,4,6-Tetra-O-acetyl-β-D-glucopyranosylester solch empfindlicher Säuren wie Abscisinsäure, 3-Indolylessigsäure und Gibberellinsäure in Ausbeuten von über 50%.
