Notes:
The kinetics of the gas-phase thermal decomposition of 1,1,2-trifluoro-2-trifluoromethyl-cyclopropane to 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene and CF2 was studied in the temperature range of 539-604°K and with a total pressure of 17 to 300 torr of a 1:20 mixture of reactant and perfluoroethylene. Some runs were also made with the reactant only, with initial pressures of 0.2 to 20 torr. The reaction is first order, homogeneous, and the rate constants fit the following Arrhenius relationship: \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$$ {\rm log}\,k/{\rm sec}^{- 1}) = (15.23 \pm 0.12) - (50,557 \pm 1100)/4.576T $$\end{document} .
