    Description / Table of Contents: Abstract Careful fluorination of (SiCl) n -or (SiBr) n -layers with SbF3 yields (SiF) n . LiAlH4 reacts with (SiBr) n to (SiH) n . The properties of these two new compounds are described.
    Notes: Zusammenfassung Aus schichtförmig gebauten (SiCl) n bzw. (SiBr) n läßt sich durch vorsichtige Fluorierung mit SbF3 das entsprechende (SiF) n herstellen. Durch Hydrierung von (SiBr) n mit LiAlH4 entsteht (SiH) n . Die Eigenschaften der beiden neuen Verbindungen werden beschrieben.

    Description / Table of Contents: Abstract The reemission spectra of some polymer layer-compounds (SiX) n are measured. The observed bathochromic shift can be correlated will the effective electronegativites or σ* (Si)-constants of the substituentsX.
    Notes: Zusammenfassung Die Reemissionsspektren einer Reihe von polymeren schichtförmigen Verbindungen (SiX) n werden gemessen. Es ergibt sich eine bathochrome Verschiebung, die in einem gesetzmäßigen Zusammenhang mit den effektiven Gruppen-elektronegativitäten bzw. einer σ* (Si)-Konstante der SubstituentenX steht.

    Notes: It is shown that if a pair of alternant molecules are isospectral (they have identical energy spectra) in the topological - Hückel - approximation they are also isospectral, taking into account the electron correlation.
