Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Die Lumineszenzspektren der Verbindungen Crha6J3, Crha 6 * J3 (ha* = Deuteroharnstoff), Cr3+∶Mha6J3 und Cr3+∶Mha6(ClO4)3 (M∶Al, Ga) werden bei Stickstofftemperatur und der Temperatur des flüssigen Heliums untersucht.
Notes: Abstract The luminescence spectra of the compounds Cr ur6I3, Cr ur 6 * I3 (ur* = deuterated urea), Cr3+∶M ur6I3 and Cr3+∶M ur6(ClO4)3 (M∶Al; Ga) are studied at temperatures of liquid N2 and He. With the He-Ne-laser as excitation source, the4 T 2-level will be excited. The splitting of the2 E-level will be discussed. It results in two zero-phonon transitionsE 1/2→4A2;E 3/2→4 A 2. From isotope effect and a comparison with IR-data, the side bands can be assigned to the excited vibrations of the ground level4 A 2. In mixed crystalls Cr3+∶Ga ur6I3 an important splitting of the chrom dublett at longer wavelengths would be observed.

Notes: In view of the reported extreme sensitivity of surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy, the potential of colloidal silver and gold sols for the purpose of semi-quantitative trace analysis of organic molecules was investigated. High irreproducibility in Raman intensities is reported regarding most of the variables that come into play when preparing the sols, e.g. stirring rate, addition time of chloride ions and ageing. Experimental enhancement factors differ by orders of magnitude even for sols prepared from the same recipe. The value of colloidal SERS for analytical purposes, in particular when employing silver sols, therefore seems to be limited to qualitative analysis.
