    Notes: Abstract The recent extensive calculations of approximate internal conversion coefficients forN 6-N 7,O 1-O 7,P 1-P 5 andQ 1 atomic subshells performed by the present authors are discussed. The used physical approximation (point nucleus—Coulomb field) together with the corrections for finite nuclear size and atomic screening are described in some detail. A comparison with previous calculation and experiments is presented. Possible improvements of the screening correction are given.

    Notes: Abstract The experimentalN andO shell conversion coefficients of highly hinderedE1 transitions were found to be anomalous. The discrepancies as well as those for theL andM shells were removed by using the following values of the nuclear current parameterη: 9·2±0·1 for the 6·21 keV transition in181Ta, 8·5±0·5 or −7·5±0·5 for the 84·20 keV transition in231Pa and 1·9±0·2 for the 26·38 keV one in237Np.

    Notes: Abstract Conversion electron spectra of the low-energy transitions in195Au taken with a magnetic spectrometer were analysed numerically. Derived conversion line intensities were found to agree with recent calculations of internal conversion coefficients for the subshells,L i ,M i ,N i and O+P. Transition energies and multipolarities were determined to be 61·35±0·06 keV [M1++ (15·7±0·6)% E2] and 56·60±006 keV [pure E3]. A description is given of the employed computer program DECOS 1 which makes use of an analytical function to express the conversion line shape.
