Notes: The shift and diffuseness of electron diffraction spots due to stacking faults were observed in martensite crystals with 3R close-packed structure. The analysis of these shifted and diffused spots by the Kakinoki–Komura theory shows that 3R structure martensite is faulted in such a way that its stacking sequence changes to that of the 9R close-packed structure.
