    Notes: Abstract The paper describes the measurement of the differential cross-section for pp scattering at an energy of 8 GeV. The results of the paper agree well with the assumption that there exists a real part of the scattering amplitude that is 33% of the imaginary part.

    Notes: Abstract Measurement of the differential cross-sections of proton-proton scattering at an energy of 3 GeV is described. The measurement was performed in the region of angles from 2·4° to 16·2°. Analysis of the experimental data shows that besides the imaginary scattering amplitude a real part is also necessary in order to describe elastic scattering at an energy of 3 GeV; the magnitude of the real part is 24% of the magnitude of the imaginary part.

    Notes: Abstract Elastic pd scattering at an energy of 8 GeV was studied by means of the improved method of the multiple passage of protons through a target 0·6 μm thick, made of (CD2) n . It was determined from an analysis of the differential cross-section that the magnitude of the real part of the amplitude is 26% of the magnitude of the imaginary part. The real part of the elastic pn scattering amplitude was calculated using the results of the study of the elastic pp scattering at an energy of 8 GeV; its magnitude is 30% of the magnitude of the imaginary part.
