Zusammenfassung Es wird ein Patient mit chronischer, monozytärer Leukämie beschrieben. Bei den Zellen seines peripheren Blutes handelt es sich vorwiegend um reife Monozyten; die Knochenmarkbiopsie zeigte ausgedehnte Markinfiltration mit Zellen der Monozytenreihe in allen Reifestadien. Bis jetzt blieb sein Gesundheitszustand ohne spezifische Behandlung seit 52 Monaten mäßig gut.

Summary A patient with chronic monocytic leukaemia is described. The cells in his peripheral blood are predominantly mature monocytes, and bone marrow biopsy revealed extensive marrow infiltration with cells of monocyte series in all stages of maturity. He has so far remained in moderately good health without specific treatment for fifty-two months.
