Notes:
The crystal structure of hexagonal polyselenomethylene is described. It has a hexagonal unit cell with a = 5.22 A. and c = 46.25 A. The polymer chains are helices with the helix axis parallel to c. In the identity period of 46.25 A., there are 21 —CH2Se— units and 11 turns of the helix. The crystal structures of polyoxymethylene, polythiomethylene, and polyselenomethylene are compared.
