Summary Di-ethyl-di-oxystilbene-diphosphate (Honvan) inhibits in vitro the mitoses in the metaphase in cells of human bone marrow and in the fibroblasts of the chick embryo. It may be observed, that the fibroblasts react to smaller doses than do the hematopoietic cells. It is postulated, that the cells of prostatic carcinoma also probably react to smaller doses than the blood forming cells, since with therapeutically effective doses no fall in the blood cell counts has been observed.

Zusammenfassung Diäthyldioxystilben-diphosphat (Honvan) bewirkt in vitro an Zellen des menschlichen Knochenmarkes sowie an hühnerembryonalen Fibroblasten eine deutliche Hemmung der Mitosen im Stadium der Metaphase. Dabei ließ sich beobachten, daß die Fibroblasten schon auf geringere Dosen ansprechen als die Zellen der Hämopoese. Es wird angenommen, daß die Prostata-Carcinomzellen in vivo auch schon auf kleinere Dosen ansprechen als die Zellen der Hämopoese, da unter therapeutisch wirksamen Dosen ein Absinken der Blutzellwerte nicht bekannt ist.
