Notizen:
Summary Decomposing debris of Chinese cabbage was found to be harmful to a following mungbean crop grown in the greenhouse. Aqueous or methanolic extracts of decomposing Chinese cabbage residues in soil inhibited the seed germination of mungbean, and the growth of mungbean seedlings. The same effect was observed when mungbean was grown in soil in which Chinese cabbage had previously been grown. No toxicity was found in aqueous extracts of fresh Chinese cabbage shoot or root tissues.
