Abstract When Ni is substituted for Cu in Bi-2212 single crystals, the in-plane resistivity is increased with maintaining the linear temperature dependence while the out-of-plane resistivity is decreased. The anisotropy parameter γ estimated from the angular dependence of the flux flow resistivity is also decreased from 250 for undoped sample to 80 for a sample doped with 2.4% of Ni. The doping dependence of ϱab and ϱc is discussed on the basis of the t-J model and the Fermi liquid theory.
