    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Von 704 selektiv-proximalen Vagotomien wurden 100 (14,2 %) wegen blutendem chronischem Ulcus durchgeführt. Das mittlere Alter war 50 Jahre (Männer) und 56 Jahre (Frauen). In 60 % war die Blutung massiv (Schockindex über I). Die Klinikletalität war 10% (spezifische 5%). In 7% mußte wegen Blutungsrezidiv nachoperiert werden. Bei den bis 9 Jahre postoperativ Nachuntersuchten (n = 50) war die Gesamtbeurteilung: Visick I u. II 85 %,1118 %, IV 7 %. Dumping und Diarrhoe traten nur nach Pyloroplastik auf.
    Notes: Summary 100 (14.2 %) of 704 selective proximal vagotomies were carried out for bleeding chronic ulcer. The patients' age averaged 50 years (men) and 56 years (women). In 60 % there was massive bleeding (shock index above 1). The hospital mortality was 10 % (specific 5 %). In 7 % relaparotomy had to be performed due to recurrent bleeding. In those patients followed up to 9 years (n = 50), the overall grading was: Visick I + II 85 %, III 8 % and IV 7 %. Dumping and diarrhea always occurred after pyloroplasty.
