Zusammenfassung Durch neue Möglichkeiten einer kombinierten Therapie Einbringung der Chirurgie in eine enge interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit. Diagnostische Eingriffe zur Bestimmung von Histomorphologie und Tumorstadium erforderlich. Die Art des therapeutischen Eingriffes richtet sich insbesondere nach dem Tumorstadium. Definitionen des Operabilitätsbegriffes. Operationsrisiko und damit die insgesamt verminderte Lebenszeit in Gegenüberstellung zum Gewinn an Lebenszeit durch ein bestimmtes Operationsverfahren als Kriterien für die Indikationsstellung. Beispiele für Veränderungen der Indikationen aufgrund neuer konservativer Therapiemöglichkeiten.
