Notes: A new instrument of exploration can be used to develop unrecognized connections among points in a variety of geometric designs. Operational methods are used to derive the relationships, and a new approach to extremum location is demonstrated. The technique is suitable for interpolation problems which arise in experimental design and the treatment of data.

Notes: Two new methods of bivariate interpolation suitable for experimental designs are summarized. The methods use experimental data obtained in usual manner. The programs are short and rapid and are often more accurate on test functions than the standard method.

Notes: The sequential simplex optimization algorithm has been translated into non-Euclidean space. A study of the algorithm in this space suggests that the path of convergence of the simplex depends on the properties of the space so that different convergence paths can be obtained even with the same starting points. The path of convergence approaches the path observed in Euclidean space as the metric constant of the hyperbolic space increases.
