Zusammenfassung Ein neues Thorax-Drainage-System mit Doppelabdichtung wurde auf seine klinische Anwendbarkeit hin untersucht. Eine nahezu perfekte Sicherheit gegen einen Spannungspneumothorax und bakterielle Kontamination bei doch einfacher Handhabung konnte registriert werden. In zwei Fällen von Lungenparenchymfisteln mit Ventilmechanismus verhinderte dieses System trotz Sogausfall einen Spannungspneu. Eine Saugpumpe zum Patiententransport ist überflüssig geworden.

Summary A new thorax-drainage system with double seal was checked for clinical use. It was seen to be a nearly perfect safeguard against pneumothorax and bacterial contamination, although simple to use. In two cases of lung parenchyma fistula this drainage system avoided tension pneumothorax when loss of suction occurred. A suction pump for patient transport is no longer necessary.
