    Notes: Nous avons synthétisé une série de spiropyrannes benzoxathioliques par un processus en deux étapes: obtention de perchlorates styryliques en milieu acide par condensation simultanée de trois substrats intermédiaires, puis cyclisation en milieu basique. Un mécanisme est proposé.Ces spiropyrannes benzoxathioliques sont photochromes et nous avons étudié la cinétique de décoloration thermique ainsi que l'absorption visible de leurs photomérocyanines. Des observations comparables à celles enregistrées en série benzodithiolique nous ont amenés ici encore à envisager une structure de type quinonique pour la mérocyanine.

    Notes: Nous avons étudié la transformation réversible de spiropyrannes benzodithioliques photochromes en mérocyanines: les spectres d'absorption de celles-ci et leurs cinétiques de décoloration thermique sont suivis en utilisant un spectrophotomètre à enregistrement rapide couplé à un appareil de photolyse-éclair. Les nombreuses inversions constatées par rapport aux résultats cinétiques obtenus en série benzothiazolinique pour des composés identiquement substitués, associées à des considérations sur les spectres visibles des photomérocyanines et à des effets de polarité de solvant, nous amènent à envisager pour les mérocyanines benzodithioliques une structure de type quinonique alors qu'en série benzothiazolinique une structure de type dipolaire a été mise en évidence.

    Notes: Organic conjugated polymers and oligomers constitute a three-dimensional network of molecular wires, in which all monomeric units can be functionalized with various prosthetic groups. By varying the nature of these groups, specific interactions with external physical or chemical phenomena can be developed in these materials, leading to molecular devices such as sensors, transducers, memories and logic operators. Chemists have already mastered the realization of many of these functional elements, which mimic those existing in organized beings. The further assembly of these elements in multifunctionalized organic conducting polymers and oligomers will represent the next step towards intelligent materials.
